Entertaiment is the activity or process of amusing or amusing people. Entertainment provides a break from everyday life, relieves stress, builds self-confidence, and can foster social bonding. It can range from a clown at a child’s birthday party to a stadium rock concert. In addition to being pleasurable, entertainment often teaches important skills such as cooperation (through group games or play with dolls) and motor skills for music and sports. Familiar forms of entertainment have demonstrated a remarkable ability to cross over different media—for example, the story of Scheherazade has been told as an orchestral piece, a film, and innovative video games.
