Entertaiment is a term used to describe activities that keep people engaged, amused or diverted. It has a wide range of forms from play for children to the theatre and movies for adults. Entertainment is often associated with fun and laughter although it can also have a serious purpose as is the case in ceremony, celebration, religious festival or satire. Entertainment is a large industry in its own right and has been shown to cross over into other media such as novels, films, music and games.
