Entertaiment is a broad concept that can be applied to many activities and events. It can be as personal as a private entertainment chosen by an individual from the now vast selection of pre-recorded products; or it can involve groups of any size, from two people sharing a meal to the full range of performances intended for thousands. It also varies in intensity, from light-hearted amusement to more serious activity such as ceremonies, celebrations, religious festivals or satire. It is not always clear what is meant by the term, and it may be difficult to distinguish between entertainment and aesthetic effect.
